Description: Recognise situations and opportunities to promote health, safety and wellbeing. Explore how plants and animals are grown for food, clothing and shelter and how food is selected and prepared for healthy eating. Recognise, describe and order Australian coins according to their value. Count and order small collections of Australian coins and notes according to their value.
Measures of success: Students will be able to identify which foods form part of a healthy diet and be able to accurately describe how they can be brought using Australian currency. Students will be marked against an assessment rubric and students will mark themselves against a self-assessment.
