Description: A whole class activity involving the construction of elevated garden beds in the school grounds, and planting flowers, fruit, herbs and vegetables. Students participated in planting and guided investigations to explore and answer questions, using informal measurements and digital technologies when appropriate. They recorded what they did by making drawings and writing about their observations.
Measures of success: Students demonstrate observation and recording skills; they can articulate why having a garden is healthy.
