Description: During winter term, kinders participated in an extended outdoor class learning environment. This included healthy cooking, eg. weekly vegetable hearty soups, with students collaborating in the preparation of healthy meals to share. They were taught how to use equipment with competence and skill. Students made placemats showing their own selection of healthy vegetables for the soups. They sat together in a social setting, displaying traditional healthy table manners.
Measures of success: On a wellbeing level, children are happy and engaged. Through discussion and wondering, they identify their favourite fruits and vegetables. They complete their placemats.
