Our programs

Health happens everywhere, and so does health literacy! Our evidence-informed community programs aim to build health literacy in everyday settings for the benefit of individuals, organisations and services, and whole communities.

Research shows that we do most of our learning about how to be ‘healthy’ with our family, our community and during our school years. This means that quality health education in primary schools is essential for healthy learners and healthy communities.

HealthLit4Kids supports primary schools to build the health literacy of staff and students, and to develop a culture where the health literacy needs of the whole school community are identified and supported.

HealthLit4Workplaces

Workplaces that build individual health literacy skills and understanding and reduce or remove environmental health literacy barriers will maximise the impact of health and wellbeing activities in the workplace and beyond.

HealthLit4Workplaces is designed specifically to meet the health literacy needs of workplaces, whether the ‘workplace’ is a whole organisation or a structural or functional unit within that organisation (e.g. a team, office, department).
