Description: Full class physical education activity where students ran the equivalent of the distance around Tasmania in their local environment or schoolyard. The activity developed skills in maths and geography as well as developing students understanding of the benefits of health and physical activity and building their fitness. Students collected icy pole sticks for each milestone they achieved, developing their maths skills and sense of achievement.
Measures of success: Personal achievement of fitness goals; Students demonstrate understanding of the benefits of being healthy and physically active.
